AUREL is well-known partner for leading Czech and international carmakers in the field of vehicle testing and development. Gradually, however, the company is reaching beyond the automotive world. It is developing its own innovative products, such as ForeScan3D – a scanning technology designed for detailed recording of the human body or any object. A single scan can replace a thousand photographs.
Fast, precise, simple – that’s ForeScan3D
This automated system of advances, contactless 3D scanning creates an exact three-dimensional model of objects with the highest precision. It can capture texture, shades, and even tiny surface variations down to the millimetre. The result is a digital replica of the actual condition. This makes it highly valuable tool for forensic science and criminology, as well as for many other fields where it is essential to accurately capture and preserve real-world conditions for later analysis.
Key advantages of ForeScan3D
- Fully automated scanning and 3D model reconstruction process,
- high accuracy, even in fine details,
- customisable to meet customer requirements,
- intuitive and user-friendly operation,
- operator training in under 10 minutes,
- significant time savings and error reduction,
- cost-effective solution.
Are you interested in the technical specification? It is for example:
- Scanning volume with a radius range of 400 mm,
- accuracy up to 1 mm / 500 mm
- model reconstruction within 20 minutes (depending on HW)
- device dimensions: 1,800 x 800 x 600 mm, and weight 36 kg
- calibration elements and manipulation table included.
Developed at AUREL specifically for forensic specialists
ForeScan3D was created in response to a request from a forensic pathologist who say great potential in AUREL’s technology. With over twenty years of experience and strong expertise, it was a natural step for our development team to design a product tailored to a field very different from automotive.
ForeScan3D enables forensic specialists to:
- Precisely scan bodies and injuries – for thorough analysis,
- record injuries in detail – capturing high resolution and fine structures,
- digitally archive evidence – secure storage of detailed 3D scans,
- provide compelling evidence in court – credible scans as forensic proof,
- integrate seamlessly into practice – intuitive operation without complex setup.
Innovation knows no boundaries: ForeScan3D showcased at Forensic Science Conference in Ireland
This year, ForeScan3D was introduced at the prestigious European Academy of Forensic Science Conference in Dublin. At the event, AUREL established connections with experts and institutions in the field of forensic and security technologies across Europe. And demonstrated that is it a strong partner not only beyond the Czech Republic, but also outside the automotive industry.
‘This presentation opened doors to new projects and confirmed that innovation knows no boundaries. ForeScan3D, just like TorqGuardPro, is another example of how we can successfully transfer know-how from one industry into another. And this is exactly the path AUREL intends to follow,’ says Robert Stoff-Riegel, Business Development Manager at the German branch in Wolfsburg, who presented the new technology in Dublin.
In forensic practice, where precision is absolutely critical, this technology can play a key role in preserving evidence. It brings a new level of clarity and accuracy to the entire process, making it a true breakthrough not only for forensic science, but potentially for other industries as well.
