Chrastava serves as a key site for surface treatment technologies, offering advanced processes covering everything from degreasing and passivation to final logistics delivery to the customer. The company’s international dimension is strengthened by development capacities in Wolfsburg, and Košice, with direct connections to OEM customers.

At the core of AUREL’s technical infrastructure are advanced testing facilities and laboratories supporting the entire development cycle. AUREL is among the key players in the field of passive safety.
- The only pedestrian protection testing facility in the Czech Republic is equipped with specialised instruments and technologies for a wide range of passive safety tests. Thousands of tests have already been conducted here, with specialists managing complete test preparation from start to finish.
- The Experimental Laboratory provides comprehensive solutions combining physical testing with CAE simulations. It is fully equipped for component-level testing and features modern instrumentation and technologies.
- The 3D Measurement Laboratory ensures highly precise metrology and geometry inspection – from point-based contact measurements and non-contact surface measurements to 3D dynamic analysis of high-speed events and their visualisation.
- The Strain Gauge Laboratory focuses on measuring stress, temperature, torque, and deformation under load conditions.
- Capacity is further expanded through cooperation with the LENAM laboratory, which conducts specialised tests in simulation methods and experimental mechanics.
The technical infrastructure is complemented by fully equipped workshops and production halls designed for vehicle and component preparation for development and testing. Professional service and assembly technologies are available, along with dedicated areas for modifications of both test samples and complete vehicles directly within AUREL premises and at the Proving Ground – eliminating the need for external transfers.

Multifunctional areas combine standard tracks with specialised high-load surfaces.
