Passivation methods
Passivation can be performed using various methods, depending on the type of metal and desired surface properties. Chemical passivation uses specialised baths that react with the metal surface to form a protective layer. It is ideal for mass processing of parts with focus on surface uniformity. Electrochemical passivation uses an external electrical current to control the formation of the protective layer with high precision, which is commonly used for stainless steels.

Automated Immersion Lines – Combine technologies as needed
At AUREL, you have access to two fully automated immersion coating lines. These allow you to combine various surface treatment technologies based on your specific needs. They are highly flexible and interchangeable. If you need to introduce a new treatment or chemical process, it won’t disrupt ongoing operations or delay delivery times.
You can also request passivation using titanium (Ti) or silicon (Si). This method is ideal for parts that require protection against further passivation or corrosion. And where flawless downstream processability (e.g. welding) must be ensured. And what are the technical capabilities of both lines?
