About surface treatments
In the production part of AUREL CZ sro, we focus primarily on providing surface treatments, especially on degreasing and passivation of structural parts for suppliers in the automotive industry
We provide this activity using two automatic dip lines. Here it is possible to combine various surface treatment technologies according to customer requirements, or implement new requirements. We also operate a line in which a zinc-phosphate protective layer is applied to brake calipers for a leading global supplier of brake systems. The last production line is a continuous degreasing and passivation line used primarily for degreasing iron parts.
Our portfolio also includes special applications such as applying Collophon 507™ anti-vibration compound to aluminum castings.
Surface treatments are often the last step before further processing of parts at the car manufacturer. That is why we also provide our clients with logistics services. Direct deliveries to car factories and related additional activities.

Passivation
The use of aluminum alloys is nothing new in the automotive industry. In recent years, with the increasing possibilities in the form of new aluminum alloys, but also due to the pressure on CO2 emissions, the use of aluminum parts has become increasingly common. (A car that has a higher proportion of aluminum parts is significantly lighter than one that uses steel parts).
We provide this activity using two automatic dip lines, where it is possible to combine different surface treatment technologies according to customer requirements. The variability of these lines also allows the implementation of new technology / chemistry without affecting the existing operation. To a large extent, these lines are interchangeable.
The plan is to build another line, the capacity of which is approximately 4 times higher than the existing submersible lines.
We currently also perform degreasing and passivation with titanium (Ti) and silicon (Si).
The maximum part size is 1800 x 600 x 1000 mm with a curtain weight of 400 kg. The line capacity is 200 curtains / day.
Degreasing
Although aluminum plays an increasingly important role in the automotive industry, some parts are still made from iron alloys. However, these parts are also often contaminated by the manufacturing processes, so surface treatment is also necessary for their subsequent processing.
Our continuous degreasing line, which stands out for its high capacity, is ready for degreasing iron parts. The only limitation is the possible size and weight of the processed parts - 1000 x 350 mm, weight 100 kg.


Phosphating
Phosphating is a chemical surface treatment of metals, most commonly steel, aluminum and zinc, in which a thin, crystalline layer of insoluble phosphates is formed on the surface of the material. This layer has a porous structure and adheres firmly to the substrate.
Assembly and special operations
Assembly operations
A large part of the parts treated by our company must be fitted with, for example, rivets or screws before delivery to the customer. However, these components are made of materials that cannot be passivated. This could lead to undesirable material degradation. Therefore, in order to eliminate logistics costs, we offer our customers the option of subsequent assembly operations. For example, screw pressing, riveting, etc. Thanks to the strong background of our partner EAP, we are also able to develop fully automatic equipment according to customer requirements.
Special applications
In our series production, we apply a special material called Collophon 507. It is a material that is applied to aluminum castings and its purpose is to reduce noise and vibrations in the car cabin. This process is again facilitated by our company's strong background - 3D printing and development.
Our customers can also contact us with less common requirements. We are ready to accommodate and help solve their specific problems. We often perform various surface treatment tests or paint parts with special products.


Quality
In our laboratory, we constantly monitor the quality of chemical baths. This guarantees their optimal effect. On a daily basis, we measure the thickness of the surface layer or critical diameters with a cavity meter; surface tension, check degreasing and, of course, measure the content of titanium or silicon using RFA measurement. In this way, we can teach the reproducible quality of our products.

Environmental protection plays a very important role here.
Environmental protection plays a very important role for us. All technologies are selected and designed with a view to minimizing environmental impacts. Our technology also includes our own wastewater disposal station. Hazardous waste is properly disposed of by contractual partners.
Logistics services
It goes without saying that we provide logistics services to our customers. Primarily, these are direct deliveries to manufacturing plants – OEMs – car manufacturers. Specific customer requirements for packaging, marking or traceability of parts are consistently followed and respected. Everything is done through the logistics system APLS or WebEDI / EDI developed by us.
We have sufficient storage space and are able to "hold" a safety stock for our customers. No parts are stored outdoors. The loading ramps are covered and the quality of the parts is not compromised in bad weather.
