During that time, we have conducted thousands of tests that contribute to greater safety for both vehicles and pedestrians. Functionality and durability testing

Just like safety tests, high-quality functionality and durability testing is essential. At AUREL, we carry out these tests either strictly according to the customer’s specifications – or we design an effective custom methodology tailored to the needs. We prepare the vehicle or component for testing, conduct the test, and then ensure a thorough evaluation of the results – whether it’s to verify correct operation or to estimate the lifespan of the given part or system. Each test is approached with individual care. 

Cutting-edge technologies and expertise

Our know-how is backed by long-standing partnerships with leading car manufacturers. Since 2019, for example, we’ve been testing airbag sensor systems for all Škoda Auto models produced worldwide. Thanks to this experience, the vehicles we test consisently rank among the highest-rated in their class. 

We operate the multifuntional AUREL Proving Ground and employ advanced technologies for virtual reality testing. We also run the only pedestrian protection testing facility in the Czech Republic. This unique lab enables both development and homologation testing in accordance with international standards and tailored customer requirements. It supports comprehensive testing enhanced by additional services such as scanning, photogrammetry, strain gauge measurement, and more.

Experimental Laboratory LENAM

We also utilise the facilities of our sister company LENAM’s experimental laboratory, which specialises in mechanical testing of materials and products, either according to its own methodologies or based on the customer’s technical specifications. Experimental methods are also used here to verify in-house virtual CAE simulations.
