LENAM: over thirty years at the forefront of engineering – from academic vision to international innovation

When searching for a synonym for deep technical expertise in the Czech industrial environment, sooner or later you will come across the name LENAM – the Laboratory of Experimental, Numerical and Analytical Mechanics. This engineering and development company based in Liberec has more than three decades of experience in simulation methods and experimental mechanics. Five visionaries at the dawn of a new era in Czech industry

It all began in the early 1990s. A group of five enthusiasts from the Technical University of Liberec decided not to leave their academic knowledge on paper but to bring it directly into practice. At a time when simulation methods were still in their infancy and their industrial application was rare, they founded LENAM.

Their goal was to connect scientific approaches with real industrial needs and offer companies modern tools for design development and optimisation. From the first Škoda to the European market and beyond to Asia

One of the first and most important clients was Škoda Auto. The collaboration, which began shortly after the company’s founding, has continued uninterrupted for more than thirty years and remains one of the pillars of LENAM’s growth.

Over time, the client portfolio has expanded to include major players such as VW, MAGNA, Saint-Gobain Sekurit, Bonatrans, Knorr-Bremse, and Jawa. What started as a local company has become a respected partner for technical calculations, simulations, and virtual development.
